A north central Iowa farmer formed a laundry list of problems looking back at the harvest of 2017.
Wayne Fredericks, a corn and soybean grower from Osage, says the frustration began when weather delayed the start of harvest to mid-October.
“The 17th was our starting time period, and we were fraught with frustration getting our original combine going. We had electrical gremlins in it, and I guess there’s nothing worse than trying to diagnose electrical problems in a mid-2000’s vintage combine.”
Fredericks traded for a newer combine, and tells Brownfield harvest got a little smoother.
