With the U.S. soybean harvest mostly done and the majority of winter wheat seeded, much of the focus is on getting the remaining 15 or so percent of the nation’s corn acreage out.

As farmers work against the clock and mother nature, an extension crops specialist has some advice for the last push.

Dave Nicolai with the University of Minnesota says a combination of rain and snow has delayed harvest in portions of the Upper Midwest by as much as three weeks this fall, creating challenges during and after combining fields.
