University of Illinois ag economist Todd Hubbs says corn yield projection increases between the October and November USDA production reports do not bode well for supply scenarios.
“We’ve got a lot of corn out there,” Hubbs told Brownfield Ag News Tuesday, “more than most market observers thought.”
The latest WASDE report indicates a corn yield projection of 3.6 bushels greater than the October report. The same happened in 1992 and 1996, with further yield increases each of those years in the December report.
