Soybeans were modestly lower on fund and technical selling, with new front month January notching a new five week low. 93% of U.S. beans are harvested as of Sunday and the trade and the USDA are expecting record production. Many near term forecasts have more rain in central Brazil, which should help speed up planting at least somewhat. Recent private estimates via wire reports have a year to year decline in production for Brazil, with a more normal yield cancelling out an increase in acreage.
