Direct cash cattle trade is quiet with just a few asking prices starting to show – primarily in parts of the South at $124.00. Look for significant trade volume to be delayed until the latter part of the week.
Boxed beef is mixed at the midday on light demand. Choice is $1.68 lower at $211.13 and Select is $.23 higher at $194.06.
At the Oklahoma National Stockyards, compared to the previous week feeder steers were $2.00 to $6.00 lower with some instances of $10.00 to $13.00 lower and feeder heifers are $1.00 to $11.00 lower with instances of $17.00 lower.
