Cold, wet conditions slowed harvest progress for many Michigan farmers last week.
The USDA says snow and wet fields kept the harvest pace below average but still slightly ahead of last year for the first week of November. Corn harvested for grain is now 69 percent in the bin, soybeans are 88 percent harvested.
Jim Zook with the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan says this year’s harvest is expected to set a new record.
