AgriNovus Indiana has been awarded a $4.2 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help the organization meet the needs of the state’s growing agbiosciences sector.
The Indiana agbiosciences sector has a $16 billion impact and employs 75,000 Hoosiers. AgriNovus CEO Beth Bechdol says the initiative is “perfectly positioned to design and launch impactful programs” to continue to build on the already-booming sector.
The food and agriculture innovation initiative will use the two-year grant for programs to educate the public, attract a talented workforce, and grow support of agbiosciences.
