
Direct cash cattle trade is quiet with the action limited to the distribution of new showlists. Don’t look for this week’s trade to pick up until Wednesday or even later. Light trade began to develop early last week with Southern deals mostly $124.00 – $1.00 lower than the previous week’s weighted average. Moderate to active business developed in all areas on Wednesday with deals in Kansas and Texas fully steady with Tuesday. Northern dressed trade ranged from $190.00 to $194.00 – mostly steady with the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
