The 2017 U.S. corn and soybean harvests remain slower than normal, but continue to crawl towards the finish line.
It’s been a mixed growing season nationally for corn and beans, with widely variable conditions from planting, through development, into harvest, but even with the issues, the USDA is expecting a record large U.S. soybean crop and a record high average yield for corn.
As of Sunday, 83% of this year’s corn crop is harvested, compared to 70% a week ago and the five year average of 91%.
