Direct cash cattle markets are quiet. After the moderate to active business during the first part of the week and light activity Thursday, it looks like direct business is probably wrapped up for the week, aside for the potential for more clean-up. The bulk of this week’s trade was at $124 live and $192 dressed, steady to modestly lower than last week. Asking prices for what’s left on the showlist are around $126 to $127 on the live basis and $194+ dressed.
