A central Indiana farmer says it has been a challenging but rewarding growing season.
Mike Beard raises corn, soybeans, and hogs about an hour north of Indianapolis.
“It has been rewarding in the fact that the yields were not as discounted from the later planting as I thought they would be,” he says.
But, he says, continued rainfall has been problematic and delayed harvest an entire month.
