Wisconsin might have a new Agriculture Secretary as early as Thursday. Governor Scott Walker’s office would neither confirm nor deny to Brownfield that 10th District State Senator Sheila Harsdorf from Beldenville will be named to succeed retired Secretary Ben Brancel.
Walker’s office told Brownfield they are planning either a statement or press release tomorrow about the open Secretary position but could not give details. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper reports three sources close to the Governor say Harsdorf will get the appointment.
