The USDA’s next set of crop reports are out Thursday and analysts say the numbers should be similar to September.

Seth Meyer with USDA’s Outlook Board says farmers were surveyed at the end of October when more than 80 percent of the nation’s soybeans and half of corn was harvested. “A lot of those ears in the field are making their way to the lab because they’re mature, plus farmers’ opinions are also probably better because they’ve been out in the field and they’ve got some yield estimates.
