Montreal-based Saputo announced last week they will buy Belmont, Wisconsin-based Betin, Inc., which does business as Montchevre. The goat cheese manufacturer employees 319 people, and will be added to Saputo’s American cheese division which has more than a dozen brands of Italian, Cheddar, and specialty cheeses.
