Iowa’s corn harvest has reached the two-thirds mark.
As of Sunday, 67 percent of the state’s corn crop was harvested, nine days behind the five-year average. Soybean harvest, at 92 percent and six days behind average, was virtually complete.
“It was another good week for harvest. Hopefully we can get a couple of more weeks of agreeable weather to allow farmers to finish harvest and complete other fall field work,” said Iowa deputy ag secretary Mike Naig.
