The European Commission has resumed its review of the Bayer Monsanto merger.
According to the European Commission’s website, the new deadline to decide on the planned acquisition is March 5th.
Last month, the commission pushed back the January 22nd deadline on the approval process so Bayer and Monsanto could gather information requested by the regulator.
Bayer has agreed to sell some of its seeds and herbicide businesses to BASF for $7 billion if the Monsanto merger is approved.
