Soybeans were higher on commercial and technical buying, ending the session just under the day’s highs. The trade’s watching the tail end of U.S. harvest activity and planting conditions in South America, with the potential for more rain in dry parts of Brazil after some areas received some much-needed precipitation this weekend. Argentina was dry and warm over the weekend. The USDA says that as of Sunday, 90% of U.S. beans are harvested, compared to 83% a week ago, 92% a year ago, and the five year average of 91%.
