Direct cash cattle trade is quiet this morning with the action limited to the distribution of new showlists. Any significant trade volume won’t likely happen until Wednesday or later. Moderate to fairly active trade developed late Thursday with Southern live trade at mostly $124.00 to $125.00 – about $7.00 to $8.00 higher than the previous week’s weighted average. Northern dressed trade was at mostly $192.00, about $10.00 higher than the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
