China reportedly has lifted its ban on Australian beef that lasted about three months. Some boxes of beef had labels that did not match labels inside.
Australia’s Acting Prime Minister Julie Bishop says the removal of the ban is good news because beef exports to China are worth about $670-Million-dollars-a-year to Australia’s economy. And, she says labeling issues have been corrected and resolved.
The ban is still in place for one Australian plant which was the last one to be suspended.
