Direct cash cattle trade was fairly active yesterday and that’s expected to carry over into today. Trade yesterday was mostly at $195, $10 higher than last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska. Late trade developed in the South yesterday at $124 to $125 – $7 to $8 higher than the previous week. Asking prices for cattle still left on showlists are around $128.00 to $130 in the South and $197 to $200 in the North.
