Dairy prices were down again for the near term on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Thursday, but they didn’t fall as sharply as yesterday. The Class III milk futures for November was down $.02 to $16.54. December dropped $.04 at $15.69. January was down $.04 to $15.38. February also closed down $.04 settling at $15.29.
After recent losses, butter closed up $.01 at $2.2325. Six carloads were sold, with two carloads selling at $2.24.
