Dairy groups quickly oppose Rep. Allen’s Wisconsin license plate bill

Waukesha Republican Representative Scott Allen authored a bill proposing high school students design a new license plate to win a $1,000 scholarship. The bill would also remove the America’s Dairyland requirement, meaning the winning design might or might not include the slogan.
Dairy groups immediately spoke out against the bill. Dairy Business Association’s John Holevoet told Brownfield Wisconsin has a state brand that it’s proud of and people have positive feelings about it.
