A central Nebraska farmer says corn yields in his area have been exceptional this year.
Scott McPheeters, who farms near Gothenburg, says it’s some of the best corn they’ve ever grown.
“We’ve talked to some of the other guys in the area—and it’s across the scale, so it’s not like it’s imaginary—but we’ve had fields that have made 275 bushels an acres,” McPheeters says. “It’s kind of outrageous.”
He was also pleased with his soybean yields.
