Direct cash cattle trade has started to pick up this morning. Packer inquiry is improving with bids noted in all three major feeding areas. However, bids and asking prices are far from each other. Asking prices are reported at $126 in the South and $195 to $200 in the North with bids at $115 to $116 and $185 to $190. That could lead a standoff and significant trade volume could possibly be delayed until sometime on Friday.
