Missouri Governor Eric Greitens’ task force to evaluate the state’s boards and commissions recommends 38 appointments in agriculture be eliminated.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture has nine boards with 67 members appointed by the governor. The task force recommends eliminating the “governor’s need to appoint individuals to” seven boards and commissions including the Missouri Cotton Growers’ board of directors, the Missouri Wine and Grape board, the State Milk Board, and the Propane Safety Commission.
