During the remainder of Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms will develop across the western Gulf Coast region. The rain will gradually expand toward the northeast, with most areas from the Texas coast into the lower Great Lakes region expected to receive at least 1 to 2 inches during the next several days. In contrast, mostly dry weather should prevail through week’s end in the Southwest and the southern Atlantic region. Farther west, however, increasingly stormy weather will prevail in the Northwest, accompanied by colder conditions and significant, high-elevation snow.
