Midday cash livestock markets

Direct cash cattle trade is quiet with both bids and asking prices not well established. Look for steers and heifers to be priced higher – but don’t look for significant trade volume to pick up until the latter part of the week.
Boxed beef is higher at the midday with light box movement. Choice is up $2.84 at $206.16 and Select is up $.37 at $194.01. The Choice/Select spread is $12.15 at the midday.
