Governor Mark Dayton is thanking Minnesota farmers for their efforts to improve water quality on the eve of the Buffer Law initiative’s first deadline.
Dayton issued a statement this week complimenting all stakeholders for working cooperatively since the rule was first proposed to create a bipartisan law that’s flexible and provides financial assistance to help ensure full participation.
Speaking to Brownfield earlier this year, Dayton said he listened carefully to the criticism he received after calling for a statewide 50-foot buffer mandate.
