At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures closed higher today with strength in beef wholesale values and speculative buying interests. October live cattle closed $.92 higher at $120.50 and December live cattle closed $2.22 higher at $125.62. November feeder cattle closed $1.10 higher at $159.42 and January feeder cattle closed $2.22 higher at $159.57.
Direct cash cattle trade is typical for a Tuesday with cattle prices poorly defined. There were just a handful of cattle reported sold.
