Soybeans were modestly higher on commercial and technical buying. The trade was expecting good week to week harvest progress ahead of a shift to more winter like conditions in some areas. Beans posted a small week to week loss on that anticipated harvest progress. China bought 238,000 tons of 2017/18 U.S. beans. Soybean meal was mixed, consolidating, and bean oil was higher, following beans with additional support from strength in crude oil. The trade’s continuing to watch conditions in South America, with more rainfall in the forecast for Brazil next week.
