Soybeans were modestly lower on fund and technical selling. The trade was watching harvest activity ahead of colder temperatures in most areas and a winter storm in the northern Plains. Forecasts for South America have improved chances of much needed rainfall over the next couple of weeks in dry parts of Brazil and continued good conditions for most of Argentina, expect for western Argentina, which reportedly could use more precipitation. Weekly export sales were bullish, but shipments are slower than a year ago.
