Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says it’s more important now than ever for FFA members to use what they learn through FFA programs to combat scrutiny surrounding the ag industry.
Perdue led a discussion during the National FFA convention encouraging FFA members to become more engaged in the conversation about the role agriculture plays in feeding a growing population.
He asked students to consider if farmland in the country should continue to be developed to feed that population, and if so, what policies should be used to protect the farmland.
