Direct cash cattle trade remains slow.  Look for significant trade volume to be delayed until late today or even tomorrow.  A few asking prices have been reported in the South around $116 and $180 plus in the North.  Some bids have been reported at $111.

Boxed beef is mixed at the midday on light to moderate box movement.  Choice is up $2.25 at $202.46 and Select is down $.18 at $192.21.

At the Huss Platte Valley auction in Nebraska, receipts were up on the week.
