At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures closed higher on support from the wholesale trade. The strong moves in the nearby live contracts are helping to spark additional buyer support. Today’s slightly lower move in corn was also supportive to feeder cattle contracts. October live cattle closed $1.12 higher at $114.15 and December live cattle closed $1.62 higher at $120.70. October feeder cattle closed $.57 higher at $155.42 and November feeder cattle closed $1.00 higher at $157.17.
