U.S. ethanol production rose to its highest level in six weeks in mid-October.
Ethanol output averaged one million and 39-thouand (1,039,000) barrels a day for the week that ended October 20th. That’s up 20 thousand barrels per day from the week before.
Ethanol stockpiles, at just over 21 million barrels, were down for a fourth straight week. The decline of 500 thousand barrels was the largest week to week out-movement of ethanol since late July.
