A farmer in extreme Northwest Missouri tells Brownfield his harvest got off to a slow start but has started to pick up steam. He’s Richard Oswald in Atchison County, Missouri. He told Brownfield on Monday that his, “Corn has been carrying a lot of moisture. Beans have stayed green. We had about five inches of rain 10 days or so ago that really recharged all the puddles on the river bottom so it’s been difficult to find places to work.”
Oswald says farmers in the upland areas of Atchison County have made more progress.
