Soybeans were mixed, mostly fractionally higher, with contracts failing to follow through on the early gains. Demand continues to be strong, but the trade expects a very large, if not record, crop this year. Beans are watching U.S. harvest weather and South American planting conditions, with rain expected in dry parts of Brazil by midweek next week. Conditions are generally better for planting in most of Argentina. November beans traded below, but closed at, the support level of $9.75 and ½.
