The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) says the U.S. Commerce Department has found that biodiesel imports from Argentina and Indonesia have been sold into the U.S. below fair value and the department has imposed preliminary duties on imports from those countries.
The NBB Fair Trade Coalition had filed the complaint that the countries were unfairly dumping biodiesel into the U.S. – saying it depressed prices for domestic producers and took away market share.
