Cargill has announced the acquisition of Iowa-based animal nutrition company Diamond V.

Diamond V has been a leader in the development of microbial fermentation products for animal nutrition and health. Cargill says the acquisition will enable its animal nutrition business to better serve customers who are increasingly turning to “natural technologies”. It says natural immune support products in animal feed—like natural health supplements for people—are increasingly being used to improve immunity and digestive health.
