There was almost no slowdown in Ohio’s harvest activity last week, with good weather nearly every day.
The USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service reporter say producers gained a lot of ground on harvesting both soybeans and corn.
One problem commonly reported was new soybean shoots in already-harvested fields because of shattered beans and aborted pods.
As of Sunday, 35% of corn for grain and 95% of corn for silage has been harvested.
