U.S. crop farmers have until November 1st to sign-up for “Grow Communities” – a donation program supported by the Monsanto fund.
Program manager Angela Allen says anyone who is 21 or older who farms 250 acres or more can participate – and, if chosen – can donate to a number of charities, “They simply have to be a 501-C3 or 170-C. That encompasses a large number of non-profits. We typically see farmers giving to 4H clubs, FFA chapters, fire departments, food pantries, shelters, schools, libraries, parks and so much more.”
She tells Brownfield it’s easy to apply, “You simply give us your name, address, phone number, email.
