Rain brought relief to late maturing crops in Indiana this week.
According to the latest USDA Crop and Weather report, 34 percent of the corn crop has been harvested for grain and 91 percent is mature.
Soybean harvest is 52 percent complete and 95 percent of the soybean crop is dropping leaves.
Eighty-eight percent of the fourth cutting of alfalfa hay is complete.
Topsoil moisture is 77 percent and subsoil moisture is 66 percent adequate to surplus.
