Minnesota farmers made good progress with harvesting last week thanks to suitable weather and field conditions. The USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service says there were some areas with muddy fields, but overall, fields were accessible more than four days.
Dry edible beans are 96% harvested, and 91% of the state’s potatoes are in. Corn for grain is about two weeks late with only 7% of the crop harvested. Corn moisture was averaging 25%.
