Parts of Illinois were battered by storms over the weekend and an agronomist says cornfields took a hit.
Bob Lawless with Golden Harvest says the corn crop started to deteriorate about a week ago and after the most recent round of storms – there’s even more urgency to get the crop harvested. “We’re starting to see the stuff with marginal stalk quality to start with began looking bad a week ago,” he says.
