Direct cash cattle trade is quiet with just a few scattered bids in Nebraska and Iowa. It’s likely the majority of business could be finished for the week, but a few cleanup deals could still be reported. Yesterday’s trade volume totals are somewhat larger than expected. Asking prices for cattle left on the showlists are around $113.00 in the South and $176.00 plus in the North.
Boxed beef cutout is sharply higher at the midday – with light to moderate box movement.
