At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle futures were mixed with nearby contracts posting gains for the week. Trade volume continues to be lackluster and this week’s cash trade was not enough to push prices strongly higher today. October live cattle closed $.47 higher at $112.82 and December live cattle closed $.15 lower at $117.12. October feeder cattle closed $.50 higher at $154.05 and November feeder cattle closed $.45 higher at $155.00.
Direct cash cattle trade was quiet in the afternoon as business was essentially completed on Thursday.
