The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) this week announced the launch of Farmers for Free Trade (FFT), a grassroots effort to support/protect U.S. trade treaties given how economically important they are to farmers, ranchers and the communities in which they live.  Normally, such an announcement would elicit a quiet pat on the back to our friends at the world’s largest farm organization.  However, the motivation for the new group’s creation is what makes this deal “special.”

President Trump again this week unleashed another attack on NAFTA just as the fourth round of renegotiations began outside Washington, DC.
