An agronomist says farmers should not cut corners during harvest because it won’t improve their bottom line.
Brent Minett with Beck’s says many farmers in the Midwest are wanting to let corn dry down in the field because they don’t want to spend money on gas.
“I don’t care what commodity prices are, we’re going to put more bushels in the bin by shelling corn when it’s over 20 percent (moisture),” he says.
