Wisconsin Veterans in Ag bill sails through Senate Ag Committee

A proposal to bring more veterans and their families into agricultural careers is moving through the Wisconsin legislature.
If the bipartisan bill is signed into law, it would require the state’s ag department to work with the Department of Veterans Affairs to integrate veterans into agriculture careers and create a veteran farmer logotype.
Testin tells Brownfield Wisconsin’s bill is modeled after a successful West Virginia program that started 3 years ago.
