Rain through most of the week last week prevented Iowa farmers from spending much time in their fields.
As of Sunday, only eight percent of Iowa’s corn crop for grain had been harvested, over two weeks behind average. Soybean harvest, at 26 percent complete, was nearly a week behind average.
